The Sacred Treasures aren't only used to make farming quicker, but they can also be used offensively. Each Sacred Treasure has its own unique set of attacks and moves you can use during battles which use Rune Points (RP).

Each Sacred Treasure has their own Dance Stance moves which use up the Spirit Gauge meter. These moves are often effective against a large group of enemies, which can be a great way to clear up a crowd.

Your equipped weapon is your primary way to deal damage, so it is recommended to forge the best weapon available from the blacksmith.
Additionally, you can upgrade these weapons to improve their stats and to help you catch up against tougher enemies.

Once you progress through the game, you'll get access to using bows which can be useful to deal with enemies from far away.
Try to snipe any opponents that are attacking you from a distance so you can continue fending off any enemies near you.

Dishes are your main way to recover health and RP during combat, as you can consume this mid-battle. Always make it a habit to cook dishes before you leave to explore so you always have a way to restore your health and RP.
| Debuff | Effect |
|---|---|
| Poison | Drains HP. |
| Curse | Drains RP. |

You may get inflicted with debuffs which will affect your stats and leave you disadvantaged during fights. Try to avoid getting these debuffs so you can stay in tiptop shape during combat!
Avoiding an enemy's attack before it lands will make you perform a perfect dodge, which will slow down time and open up a window of opportunity for you to launch a counterattack.
This can be useful against tough enemies with a lot of health, as it can help you deal high damage in a short amount of time.

Your weapons' heavy attacks can be unlocked in the respective weapon tree at the Skill Tree menu.
Heavy attacks can deal more damage compared to quick combos, but these need to be charged. Fortunately, you can move around a little while charging your heavy attacks, in case you need to reposition to avoid enemy attacks.

Later on in the story once you reach The Astral Shrine, you will unlock the Victory Dance ability which allows you to get buffs for your entire party.
You can perform this once a day and the effects will be more effective if you have more villagers in your care.
