| Level | 15 |
| Location | Guardian's Grove |
| Rewards | • Guardian Timber (First Time) • Wind Crystal (Spring Highlands) • Plant Root (Spring Highlands) • Quality Branch (Spring Highlands) |

Cursed Tree can be found within the Guardian's Grove, and is fought during the main quest Guardian's Grove Lumber Hunt.
To fight Cursed Tree again, simply interact with the violet orb in the boss arena to initiate the rematch.

To befriend the Cursed Tree, perform a Dance of Bonds during the fight, until you see the befriend icon show up underneath its HP bar, and proceed to defeat it. Once it gets back up, interact with it and gift it a Quality Branch. Keep in mind that you only have 3 chances before the dance wears off and the Boss disappears.
Cursed Tree also takes up 4 Barn Spaces, so make sure that you have enough space for it in any of the dev zones before attempting to befriend it.
| Main Weapon | Secondary Weapon |
|---|---|
| Iron Bow | Steel Sword |
The Iron Bow is a stronger Bow, which works effectively against Cursed Tree, since it has a weakness to Bows and Earth Attacks.
Bringing the Steel Sword as a secondary weapon allows you to maneouver easier, and deal with the boss' summons while still being fairly agile to dodge any projectiles.
| Headgear | Pauldron | Accessory |
|---|---|---|
| Tokin Headwear | Foot Soldier Pauldron | Iron Bracelet |
The Tokin Headwear, Foot Soldier Pauldron, and Iron Bracelet are all equipment that can be crafted from recipes found within the Spring Highlands and Guardian's Grove.
Equipping all three increases your defensive stats, allowing you to tank more hits from Cursed Tree before needing to heal.
Iroha

Sakaki
Debuffer |
Ulalaka
Healer |
Bringing a team consisting of Iroha, Sakaki, and Ulalaka provides a balanced team comp, allowing you to deal more damage thanks to Sakaki's debuffs, while remaining defensive through Iroha and Ulalaka's buffs.
Sakaki and Ulalaka also both use bows, which are very effective against the Cursed Tree.
| Cursed Tree Strategy |
|---|
Unlocking the Ultimate Attack from the Bow Skill Tree can greatly make the fight easier.
Unlike melee weapons that have charge attacks, the bow does not have a similar mechanic, so performing the ultimate when the boss is stunned is your best bet to end the fight quickly
Using the Earth Drum dances can also be helpful in certain situations, due to Cursed Tree's weakness to the Earth Drum, and using the dance allows you to deal damage and heal yourself.
Cursed Tree's forehead has a target marker on it, indicating its weak point. Attacking it with the Bow's aimed shot significantly raises the boss's stagger, which allows you to stun it faster.
During the Cursed Tree boss fight, utilize the Bow's range to your advantage.
Fighting from a distance gives you enough time to see and react to the Boss' projectiles, while also being out of range of the boss' AOE attack after being stunned.
Performing a Perfect Dodge gives you a brief window of opportunity where the monster is slowed, allowing you to freely perform your combos.

Defeating Cursed Tree the first time rewards you with the Guardian Timber, which is used to repair the Spring God's Shrine.
With the Shrine restored shortly after, Woolby will restore its powers, allowing you to travel to other villages.
Woolby Character Profile and Voice Actor
Challenging and defeating Cursed Tree again drops Rich Soil, Red Soil, Lumber, Wind Crystal and Quality Branch.
