How to Remove Blight

Use the Sacred Treasures' dances to remove blights in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA). Check out all the dances you can use to remove blights and know the rewards for removing them.

Use Sacred Sword on Violet-Colored Blights

Sacred Sword on Blightblooms

You can use the fiery Sacred Sword's Sword Dance to remove violet-colored Blightblooms that you may find on inside farming areas.

If you cannot reach an area where the Blightbloom is, use your bow to launch a flame attack to remove the blight.

You will obtain the Sacred Sword during the Restoring the Sacred Sword story section once you reach the Summer Village.

Sacred Fan on Poisonblooms

You can remove green-colored Poisonblooms with the Sacred Fan's Fan Dance. Poisonblooms will inflict poison when you get near them and slowly drain your health, so try to remove these to avoid getting poisoned.

Sacred Parasol on Burnblooms

Red-colored Burnblooms can be removed with the Sacred Parasol's Parasol Dance, which may commonly block paths. Burnblooms can launch projectiles while you are near it, so try to avoid them as you approach the blight.

The white Blightclouds which can block areas of the map can be removed with the Sacred Fan's Fance Dance. Using this will blow away the cloud and give you access to previously-blocked areas or air vents.

You Can Use More Land for Farming

Use More Land for Farming

Blightblooms may occupy spaces in other villages that you can instead use to set up a farm, so it is wise to remove them so you can have more land to use.

Doing so will allow you to yield more crops in other villages to get more income.

Increase Purification of a Village

Village Purification

Removing blights will also count towards the village mission of purifying sections of a village. Completing these village missions will raise your village level, which unlocks a variety of features for the village.

Occasionally, treasure chests may appear after removing blight in an area. You can get recipes and other equipment from treasure chests, so keep an eye out for blights while you are exploring.
