Marriage in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA) requires reaching the max bond level with your preferred character first. See all the steps to marry your preferred partner in the game, how to marry multiple characters with Rewoven Fates, and discover how to have children with your partner.
List of Contents

The first requirement you need to reach if you want to marry a certain character is to reach Bond Level 10 with them. You can achieve this mostly with tasks that you can do everyday, like talking and hanging out with them while picking choices that they like.

To reach Bond Level 10, you need to complete all Bonding Quests for the character that you want to marry. Bonding Quests will be available after reaching Bond Level 3 onwards.
Do note that some Bonding Quests are gated by story progression, so try to continue through the game while building up your Bond Level with the character that you want to marry.
Bonding Quests also include going on dates with your partner, which will be possible after reaching Bond Level 7 with them.

Once you reach Bond Level 10 with the character that you want to marry, Woolby will talk to you and talk about marrying your partner.
You will receive a Red Plum Tree sapling if your player character is Subaru or a White Plum Tree sapling if you are playing as Kaguya. Head behind the village shrine to plant the sapling.
To craft the Divine Spirits, you need one Rice and one Wisteria.

After a few days, get a branch from the Plum Tree, cook Divine Spirits, and talk to your chosen partner to invite them to Fateweaver Shrine.
Doing so will let you finally marry your chosen character. Do note that all intimacy levels with other characters will be removed, as you will be committed to your partner from this point.

After the marriage event, your chosen partner will now sleep with you inside the shrine. You can also talk to them everyday after waking up to get a gift.

You can marry multiple characters in Guardians of Azuma, but it works differently than you may expect.
A few days after your marriage, a glowing orb will appear at the Fateweaver Shrine which is called Rewoven Fates. This will allow you to experience a different timeline where you can marry a different character.

Rewoven Fates will let you visit another timeline where you will go back to the time where you have not married your current partner.
In this new timeline, all intimacy with other characters, including the one with your current partner, will be reset, so you can date and marry a different character.
Do note that you will not be able to go back to your original timeline or start another one until you have married a character in your ongoing one.

After marrying your partner, you will be asked about having a child five days after your marriage. If you accept, you will head to the Fateweaver Shrine again after five days.

Once five days have passed, Woolby will transport you and your spouse to the Fateweaver Shrine. From there, you have the choice to determine the gender and personality of child.
Wait for another 5 days for the child to be born. For same-sex marriage, you will need to plant a seedling behind the shrine from which the child will be born from it.

The game will skip to 5 years after the baby is born. They will also be added as one of the characters that you can bond with in the village and can be added in your party to fight.

You can have up to 2 children in Guardians of Azuma. After your first child is born, your spouse will inquire about having another child the next season after your first's birthday.
If you accept, you will proceed to the Fateweaver Shrine with your spouse and child to receive its blessing. You will undergo through the same process as before, but with additional cutscenes featuring your first kid.
