Monsters can be tamed to give you daily drops if you have a barn, but they can also be recruited in your party for combat in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA). Read on to learn more about the best monsters to tame, and how to tame them!
List of Contents

You can tame Bosses the same way you can tame monsters in the game. Bosses not only produce rare drops like gems, but they can also be recruited into your party, and you can bring them along with you in your party.
Bosses have higher base stats than your usual party members, and some of them can even be mountable. They make heavy damage dealers and great companions to have with you in your travels.
Keep in mind that, not all bosses can be tamed. You can check if a monster is tameable through the Beastiary.

Jewelsqueeks are monsters that can be found in the Forgotten Grove, which can drop Magatamas if you have them in your barn.
Magatamas are used to improve weapon stats, which make them very valuable to have.
To equip a Magatama, you will need to talk to Zaza from the Winter Village, or Hisui in the Summer Village for talismans.

To tame monsters, bring its HP down and perform the Plum Branch's Dance of Bonds. Afterwards, defeat it by knocking it down.
Once you can interact with it, give the monster its favorite item. You have three chances to gift the correct item or the dance will wear off and you will not be able to tame the monster.
You can also send it back to the Forest of Beginning if you want to cancel your attempt in taming the monster.
