How to Romance and Marry Characters

Reach Bond Level 7 and Complete Bonding Quests

Bonding Quest

To romance a character, you need to raise their Bond Level to Level 7 and complete their Bonding Quests. The first Bonding Quest unlocks after reaching Bond Level 3.

How to Increase Bond Level

Confess to Your Chosen Partner

I love you! Dialogue Option

After completing the two requirements, you will be able to confess to the character by speaking with them and choosing the "I love you!" dialogue option. Confirm your choice to be able to date the character and set nicknames for each other.

Reach Bond Level 10 and Complete Bonding Quests

Iroha Bond Level 10

The first step to marrying a bachelor or bachelorette is to raise their Bond Level to Level 10 and complete the remaining Bonding Quests.

List of All Bonding Quests

Plant a Plum Tree and Make Divine Spirits

Red Plum Tree Branch and Divine Spirits
You will receive a Red Plum Tree sapling if your player character is Subaru or a White Plum Tree sapling if you are playing as Kaguya. Head behind the village shrine to plant the sapling.

Cook the Divine Spirits using 1 Rice and 1 Wisteria.

Invite the Character to the Fateweaver Shrine

Go to the Fateweaver Shrine

Wait for the Plum Tree to grow and take a branch from it. Craft the Divine Spirits and invite the character you romanced to the Fateweaver Shrine to marry them.

Yes, You Can Marry the Same Gender

Ulalaka share a kiss

You can romance and marry a character that has the same gender of the protagonist that you have chosen in the game.

All romanceable characters can be chosen as your love interest regardless of the gender that you chose during the beginning of the game. This makes it possible to marry anyone without starting another save file and choosing another gender for the protagonist.
