☆ Village Building Guide

Village Happiness can be increased by properly compensating and housing villagers in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. Read on for more details about village happiness and what you need to do in order to increase village happiness.

Increasing village happiness is fairly simple. You just need to fulfill all of your villagers needs, which are simply housing and food.
Make sure that you have enough houses in your village to fit all of your villagers. Each house has a limited number of spaces, which you can check from the building's description.
You can see how many villagers are in your villages by going to either the Village Statistics tab in the Village menu or checking the upper right corner of the Villager menu.

Each villager will have a set cost that will be deducted from your daily earnings. You can check how much the cost to feed each villager is by going to the Villager menu, and you can check your total income and expense breakdown by going to any Shipping Shed.
Villagers with the Light Eater quality will cost less, while those with the Big Eater quality will cost more. If you're struggling to make ends meet, you may want to evict any villager with the Big Eater quality.
To earn more money than you spend, make good use of your villagers by having enough fields and businesses that your villagers can take care of.

Every night when you go to sleep, Woolby will give you a report on all of your villages. Sometimes he'll make comments such as your village not having enough houses.
Try to resolve any issues he brings up, since it may be affecting villager happiness or your total income.
If your village happiness gets too low, villagers may start to leave. Villagers with the Hometown Proud quality may be exempt from this, but those without it have a chance to leave as long as the village happiness has not recovered.
Having less villagers will lower your expenses and total population, which may somewhat help your villager happiness, but you will also earn less income, obtain less resources, and possibly get a bigger workload if you have to do everything yourself.
