Gozuki and Mezuki can be found within the Oni Isle, and is fought during the main quest Gatekeepers of the Underworld.
To fight Gozuki and Mezuki again, simply interact with the violet orb in the boss arena to initiate the rematch.
To befriend Gozuki, perform a Dance of Bonds during the fight, until you see the befriend icon show up underneath its HP bar, and proceed to defeat it. Once it gets back up, interact with it and gift it a Ruby. Keep in mind that you only have 3 chances before the dance wears off and the Boss disappears.
Gozuki also takes up 4 Barn Spaces, so make sure that you have enough space for it in any of the dev zones before attempting to befriend it.

Amethyst Bolt Axe
|
Arcane Light Talismans
|
The Amethyst Bolt Axe is a Long Sword with high attack power and wind attack, which works effectively against Gozuki and Mezuki, since it has a weakness to Long Swords.
Bringing the Arcane Light Talismans as a secondary weapon allows you to deal damage to Gozuki and Mezuki with ranged attacks, providing a decent weapon alternative utilizing Light Attacks.

How to Form a Party and Increase Party Size
| Gozuki and Mezuki Strategy |

Upgrading your Short Sword Skills is a great way to make the boss battle easier.
Try to prioritize Charge Attack, and Ultimate Attack nodes for the Short Sword, and adding points in STR will also help increase your overall damage.
Stunning both bosses at the same time allows you to land dance stances effectively reducing both their HP by a good amount each time.
Despite their different elemental weaknesses, both Gozuki and Mezuki are weak to Short Swords, which should allow you to stagger them quickly with good positioning.
Gozuki and Mezuki has very powerful attacks, and coming underleveled and unprepared can make the fight significantly harder.
Stock up on healing and food items by purchasing or cooking before challenging the boss!
During the Gozuki and Mezuki boss fight, you can use Dance Stances once they are stunned to deal more damage. Since the bosses have different weaknesses, utilize your strongest Sacred Treasure to deal the most damage once the bosses are stunned instead.
Ideally, your goal is to build 2 charge bars using attacks before the boss is stunned. Once it's stunned, use up all your charge bars by performing the Dances, ideally positioned in between them, to deal massive amounts of damage quickly.
Performing a Perfect Dodge gives you a brief window of opportunity where the monster is slowed, allowing you to freely perform your combos.
During the Gozuki and Mezuki boss fight, perfect dodges are more important compared to previous boss fights, since its attacks deal significantly more damage, and has shorter wind-up times.
Challenging and defeating Gozuki and Mezuki drops Ruby, Rich Soil, Red Soil, Iron, and Earth Crystal after the first battle.
Defeating Gozuki and Mezuki in different locations later on in the game will result in additional drops, such as the Lustrous Gem for defeating them in the Forest of Endings, and Platinum upon defeating them in the Rakshasa Gorge.

Where do you get the recipe for The Amethyst Bolt Axe? Your guide says it's from a wayside shrine in The Underworld, but this boss is at the very beginning of The Underworld? Hopefully I've misunderstood something!
