How to Get Gems and Crystals

Some Gems and Crystals can be obtained by mining ore deposits scattered in the wild. The type of Gem or Crystal you can obtain depends on the type of ore deposit you mined.

Additionally, if you have a high-level hammer tool, you have a better chance of mining a rarer Gem or Crystal.

There are also Gems and Crystals that can be obtained as loot from monsters when defeating them. Generally, the harder the monster the more rare the Gem or Crystal they can drop.

In particular, Wisp monsters are a good source of elemental crystals. You can determine the specific type of Crystal you can get simply by their name. For example, Light Wisp can drop Light Crystal while Dark Wisp can drop Dark Crystal.

Get as a Birthday Gift

Receving a Birthday Gift

Gems and Crystals can also be given as birthday gifts from other characters in the game. You have to talk to the characters first before receiving the gift, and if your bond level is high enough, they'll give it to your character immediately after talking to them.

However, for Woolby, he'll just give it to your character automatically once it wakes up.
