No, the Game is a Single-Player Game

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will follow in the footsteps of its predecessors as a single-player game.

While you can recruit NPCs into your Party to join you in dungeons and against bosses, the game will still follow a Single-Player focused storyline, leaving the potential for Co-Op or Multiplayer to be very unlikely.

Although there's no multiplayer, you will be able to recruit characters and monsters into your party. Party members will appear with you in the overworld outside of villages, and can even assist you in combat.

Highly Unlikely

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will likely remain Single-Player, similar to the previous Rune Factory games.

There are features such as Marriage and Children which can only work in a single player setting. Additionally, whether you choose to play as Subaru or Kaguya, the non-chosen protagonist will become a romantic candidate and is still relevant to the story's plot, which leaves not enough room for co-op flexibility.
