How to Get Mushrooms

Appraise at Professor Fungus

Professor Fungus Location

If you get a Mystery Mushroom, you need to get an appraisal from Professor Fungus at the floating Mushroom Island. Once appraised, you can already identify that specific mushroom when picking up mushrooms in the wild without you getting a Mystery Mushroom anymore.

You can also get mushrooms by defeating Mushsprites, which are mushroom-like monsters. The specific mushroom they drop depends on their type and location. They can also drop Mystery Mushrooms, which you will need to get appraised first.

How to Use Mushrooms

Heal HP and/or RP

Edible Mushrooms.png

Edible Mushrooms can be consumed as is, healing your character's HP and/or RP. To consume them, you just need to open your character's inventory, select the an edible mushroom, and choose which of your party members you want to use it on.

Edible Mushrooms are also ingredients of certain dishes. If a dish has Edible Mushrooms as one of its ingredients, you can use any mushroom of that type to cook the dish.

Make Medicines

Some Toxic Mushrooms can be used to make medicines at the Chemist building along with other ingredients. Medicines are consumable items that help cure negative status effects like curse, sleep, or paralysis, or heal HP.
