Spectral Warrior can be found within the Limestone Caverns, and is fought during the main quest Finding the Sword.
To fight Spectral Warrior again, simply interact with the violet orb in the boss arena to initiate the rematch.

To befriend the Spectral Warrior, perform a Dance of Bonds during the fight, until you see the befriend icon show up underneath its HP bar, and proceed to defeat it. Once it gets back up, interact with it and gift it a Water Crystal. Keep in mind that you only have 3 chances before the dance wears off and the Boss disappears.
Spectral Warrior also takes up 4 Barn Spaces, so make sure that you have enough space for it in any of the dev zones before attempting to befriend it.
| Main Weapon | Secondary Weapon |
|---|---|
| Zweihaender | Iron Bow |
The Zweihaender is an improved Long Sword, which works effectively against Spectral Warrior, since it has a weakness to Long Swords and Fire Attacks.
Bringing the Iron Bow as a secondary weapon allows you to still deal damage against the boss, particularly once it runs around the arena.
| Headgear | Pauldron | Accessory |
|---|---|---|
| Tokin Headwear | Round Shield | Iron Bracelet |
The Tokin Headwear, Round Shield, and Iron Bracelet are all equipment that can be crafted from recipes found before reaching Limestone Caverns.
Equipping all three increases your defensive stats, allowing you to tank more hits from Spectral Warrior before needing to heal.
Iroha
Defender |
Murasame
Attacker |
Ulalaka

Bringing a team consisting of Iroha, Murasame, and Ulalaka provides an offensive team comp, allowing you to defeat Spectral Warrior faster.
Iroha and Murasame also both use Long Swords, which are very effective against the Spectral Warrior.

Unlocking the Ultimate Attack from the Long Sword Skill Tree can greatly make the fight easier.
The Long Sword's Ultimate Attack adds 3 additional hits to your usual combo, allowing you to raise the stagger meter faster.
Using the Sacred Sword Dances can also be helpful during the fight, due to Spectral Warrior's weakness to Fire Attacks.
Spectral Warrior's attacks usually come from the front, with the exception of its AOE attacks. It is generally a good idea to stay behind the boss as much as possible, to be able to time when to attack and dodge much easily.
During the Spectral Warrior boss fight, you can use the Sacred Sword Attacks once it's stunned to deal more damage.
Using the Sacred Sword's fire attacks when the boss is stunned is the best way to defeat the boss, and when combined with the Long Sword's Charge Attack, the fight should be finished much faster thanks to the high damage output.
Performing a Perfect Dodge gives you a brief window of opportunity where the monster is slowed, allowing you to freely perform your combos.

Defeating Spectral Warrior the first time rewards you with Mitsuri's Sacred Sword, albeit in its broken state.
With the Sword restored shortly after, Mitsuri will return to Summer Village, bringing the village one step closer to its former glory.
