More development zones can be unlocked as you level up villages and clear blight in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA). Learn how to get more development zones, and see maps of each development zone for all villages, including unlockable development zones, in this guide!
How to Get More Development Zones

Clear Blight from Land
Some development zones in the villages are plagued with blight. These can be cleared using your Sacred Treasures in order for the area to be usable.
Purple Blightblooms can be removed using the Sacred Sword, green Poisonblooms can be removed using the Sacred Fan, and red Burnblooms can be removed using the Sacred Parasol.
Once blight has been removed from a development zone, you should be free to place buildings, terrain tiles, and decorations in the area and customize it to your heart's content.
Level Up Your Village
Leveling up your village can unlock new development zones that were previously not visible in that village. Newly unlocked development zones should become visible on your map and marked with a new fast travel point.
When viewing the map, you will be able to see the development zones as the green-colored areas.
