How to Clear Returning to the Sea Request Walkthrough

This is a guide to completing Returning to the Sea, a request in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch. Here you can find what kind of photo you need, and how to take it, in order to clear Returning to the Sea, as well as the reward!

How to Clear Returning to the Sea

Enter the Blue Hole

To get your best shot of a Pyukumuku returning to the sea, it's recommended to enter the Blue Hole through the alternate route at the end of Reef (Day). You could complete the request even without entering the Blue Hole, but you'll have very limited opportunites to do so from outside the Blue Hole.

Throw Fluffruit at Pelipper

In the Blue Hole, there are many Pelipper floating on the water. Look for the Pelipper with Pyukumuku inside their mouth, then throw a fluffruit at the Pelipper. Doing so will cause the Pelipper to spit out the Pyukumuku. It will be difficult, given the Pyukumuku's size, but snap a photo of it midair, before it lands in the water, and you will complete the request.

Throw an Illumina orb at Pelipper

The great thing about entering the Blue Hole is that you have a good amount of Pelipper to choose from. If you fail the above task with one Pelipper, you can simply look for another one. If no Pelipper has a Pyukumuku in its mouth, throw an Illumina orb at one, and it will dive into the water to pick a Pyukumuku up!

Pyukumuku is the main subject

Make sure the main subject of the photo is Pyukumuku, and not Pelipper, or else the request will not count as a success.

Reward for Clearing Returning to the Sea

Eye 3

The Eye 3 sticker is obtained after completing the Returning to the Sea request and can be used when editing photos.
