Golden Companion Spirit is a special currency in Honkai: Star Rail. Check out how to use the Golden Companion Spirit, what you can exchange it for, and how to get it here!
List of Contents

Starting from Version 3.7, players can get one Golden Companion Spirit for free just by logging in until Version 4.0.

As of Version 3.5, one way of obtaining Golden Companion Spirits is to get two duplicates of a 5-star character with maxed Eidolons.

Previously in Version 3.2, Trailblazers were able to participate in the Oneiric Shard Top-Up Event to get various rewards. Here, players could get one Golden Companion Spirit by accumulating a total of 18,000 Oneiric Shards.

As of Version 3.7, you can exchange the Golden Companion Spirit for either Topaz, Luocha, Ruan Mei, or any of the standard 5-star characters.
We highly recommend claiming Ruan Mei with the Golden Companion Spirit due to her All-Type RES PEN and Break Effect buffs, which work especially well in Break Teams. However, if you're lacking good sustain units, you might want to pick Luocha instead.
Since it's difficult to get Golden Companion Spirits, it's not recommended to get any of the Standard 5-star characters as you can still get them from pulling on the Standard Banner or losing 50/50s on Limited-Time Banners.
Golden Companion Spirits could also be saved instead since more redeemable characters will eventually be added in future updates!
