Move the DHV Magellan even when you're outside and away from it by charting its course via the Ring Terminal in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (DS2). Learn how to move the DHV Magellan, where you can relocate it, and when this feature becomes available.

How to Move the DHV Magellan

Press the Options Button and Hold X

To move the DHV Magellan, access the Ring Terminal with the Options button then Chart the Course by holding the X button.

Press the L1/R1 button to switch maps, then use the left and right buttons to navigate between facilities. Press X to confirm your designated location.

When aboard the DHV Magellan, you can use it as a way to fast travel.

How to Fast Travel and When to Unlock

Unlocked After Order 012

Completing Main Order No. 012 unlocks the ability to move the DHV Magellan. After you report to the West Fort Knot (F1) terminal and view the cutscene, relocating the DHV Magellan becomes available once you're inside your private room.

Cargo Delivered Using the Ship Receives Magellan Evaluation

Using the DHV Magellan for fast travel when delivering cargo will trigger a Magellan Evaluation, reducing the Likes you earn.

Be wary of using the DHV Magellan when moving from one part of the map to the other with a Cargo in tow.

Facilities Connected to the Chiral Network

The DHV Magellan can be moved to any facility, shelter, and prepper you have connected to the chiral network. You're not limited to moving it only when you're inside the ship; you can also relocate it from a distance while out on deliveries.

If you need to get aboard the DHV Magellan to rest in your private room or access its storage, you can simply move it to the facility nearest your current location.

Move Between Mexico and Australia

You can use the DHV Magellan to travel between Mexico and Australia, allowing you to revisit facilities where you might have missed some orders. You can also recall the ship to move near you, even when you are on another continent.
