Ammo can be replenished inside Private Rooms in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (DS2). Read on to learn how to get extra ammo, how to replenish your reserves, and how to increase your max ammo capacity.

The only way to replenish your ammo in Death Stranding 2 is to visit Private Rooms. These can be found in bigger facilities or aboard the DHV Magellan (once you get access to it).

If you find yourself running low on ammo mid-fight, make sure to find and loot the bodies of knocked-out human or mech enemies. Usually, they'll drop the occasional extra gun that you can use if you find yourself in a pinch.
If you have Spare Ammo Containers attached to your backpack, you'll get an extra reload after your ammo count hits 0. The number of extra reloads will depend on the number of spare ammo containers you have attached.

The easiest way to increase your max ammo capacity is to craft and equip Spare Ammo Containers for your backpack. Each Spare Ammo Container will grant you +1 Reload.
Note: The actual "max ammo capacity" will not change when you equip these backpack components. Instead, after running out of ammo, you'll get extra reloads based on the number of spare ammo containers you have attached to your backpack.

Alternatively, if you're far along enough in the game, you can opt to fabricate and equip weapons with a higher level. Usually, these upgraded versions will have a higher max ammo capacity on top of boosted damage stats. If you have access to them, make sure to use them over the Lv1 variants.

On higher difficulties, a rather crude method (especially for boss fights), is to simply craft more copies of the same gun so you can quickly swap to them when your primary weapon runs out of ammo.
Naturally, due to the added weight of multiple weapons, make sure to only deploy this tactic before big boss fights (especially if you find yourself getting the damage sponge treatment on Brutal difficulty). Avoid doing this if you plan on completing delivery runs.
