Chiral Crystals can be easily farmed by simply spamming your scanner (L1) and looking for the Chiral Crystal symbols on the ground. There are plenty to find, so make sure to keep an eye out for them while you travel between facilities during delivery runs.

Farm Areas Near Mines

Chiral Crystal in Tar Pit Mines

Mines are areas that will usually be infested with Tar Pits. These Tar Pits will contain numerous amounts of Chiral Crystals to be farmed. You can use the DHV Magellan to fast travel to multiple mines once you unlock them to quickly farm Chiral Crystals.

Defeat Small and Large BTs

Weakpoint

Killing BTs in Death Stranding 2 will cause them to leave behind Chiral Crystal deposits that you can pick up. Small BTs like Watchers will drop small deposits, while large BTs like Catchers will usually die and drop a large deposit of Chiral Crystals.

You'll start encountering BTs during Order No. 005 and 006. Make sure to loot the deposits left behind by killed BTs during these main story missions for a boost to your reserves.

Chiral Crystal Fabrication

Chiral Crystals are essential materials used to craft various items, backpack attachments like the Chiral Antigravity Device, and weapons such as Blood Grenades and the Maser Handgun.

Increase Carrying Capacity

Carrying 1000 Chiral Crystals increases the maximum weight a player can carry by 1kg before they get encumbered.

Used to Build, Upgrade, and Repair Structures

Chiral Crystal Watchtower

Chiral Crystals are also essential materials needed to build, upgrade and repair some structures. You can interact with the terminals of structures, such as Watchtowers, and choose to upgrade them.
