Death Stranding 2 Terminal Preparations
From your private room, go to the surface to make the preparations to fight the Giant BT. Use the Terminal to craft weapons and items that will help in the boss fight.

We recommend stocking up on Blood Grenades and bringing at least four Assault Rifles. Your MP bullets now have the Anti-BT Effect, making them effective against BTs.

Death Stranding 2 Giant BT
When you're ready, leave the Former Geophysics Research Lab to trigger the boss fight. Throw Blood Grenades at the Giant BT to stagger it, then deal damage with your Assault Rifle. Jump between platforms to avoid its attacks.

Use Blood Grenades to Stagger the Boss

Death Stranding 2 Giant BT Throw Blood Grenade

Throw Blood Grenades at the Giant BT to stagger it, giving you a brief window to land shots. Aim for the mouth to maximize damage.

Avoid the Boss' Mouth Grab

Death Stranding 2 Giant BT Mouth Grab

At some point, the Giant BT will grab you by its mouth and insta-kill you. This move is telegraphed by its mouth glowing before it grabs you. You can immediately jump to another platform or perform an evasive maneuver by pressing the X button while aiming or holding a weapon.

Once the Giant BT's HP is nearly halved, it will start to suck in water and pull you toward its mouth. Shoot the mouth to stagger it and avoid getting sucked in.
