| 3 |  Approach the tar currents to trigger a cutscene, which then leads to a boss fight against a Giant Octopus Mech. Shoot for the boss' head and orange rings around its tentacles to deal damage. You can check our guide below for more detailed tips on beating the boss. |

Target the Boss' Head and Orange Rings
The Giant Octopus Mech's weak points are its head and the orange rings on its tentacles. Use weapons with MP bullets to maximize damage.
Use Double Jump to Dodge Attacks
The boss performs wide-reaching attacks with its tentacles. When you see the Giant Octopus Mech's tentacles wind up, start sprinting and then double jump away from it to avoid getting hit.
Take Advantage of the Social Strand System
If you are playing with an internet connection, you may find shared items in the battlefield from other porters, thanks to the Social Strand System. Make the most of these by looting them when you're low on resources.

Completing Order No. 012 - Investigate the Unusual Tar Currents near F1 will unlock the Floating Carrier Lv1, which is a floating tractor cart that can be loaded with cargo.
