Augmented Terrain Scanner

Augmented Terrain Scanner Skill Type: Porter

How to Unlock: Complete Order No. 009.

The Augmented Terrain Scanner is one of the best starting Porter skills you can get as soon as you unlock APAS Enhancements. Essentially, it doubles your Odradek's scanning range. This means more ways to find Lost Cargo while exploring.

Skeleton Auto-Assist

Skeleton Auto-Assist Skill Type: Porter
Memory Cost: 40 Memory
How to Unlock: Reach Level 20 Porter.

Skeleton Auto-Assist is another good Porter skill you can get since it makes cargo hauling so much easier. With this and any Skeleton equipped, you become less prone to losing your balance even when carrying a very heavy load.

Porters who like picking up lost cargo or taking on multiple standard orders at once will greatly benefit from this skill. On top of this, the pre-requisite skill nodes you need to get are both very good skills to get (Augmented Terrain Scanner or Improved MP Bullets).

Improved MP Bullets

Improved MP Bullets Skill Type: Combat
Memory Cost: 40 Memory
How to Unlock: Complete Order No. 009.

Improved MP Bullets is an amazing combat skill to get since it boosts your accuracy and stopping power when firing MP bullets. Since basically all fabricated weapons shoot MP bullets, you're looking at a buff that affects most weapons you'll be using in the future.

Later on, you'll also gain access to the Increased MP Firing Rate further down the tree. While great, it isn't required (but still a definite upgrade for sure).

Aim Assistance

Aim Assistance Skill Type: Combat
Memory Cost: 80 Memory
How to Unlock: TBD

If you're having a hard time shooting on controller even with the built-in aim assist, then you can get this skill to help you out. However, do note that the "reticle snapping" only works when you get within range of an enemy. This "range" will vary based on the gun you're using.

Augmented Motion Scanner

Augmented Motion Scanner Skill Type: Stealth
Memory Cost: 20 Memory
How to Unlock: Complete Order No. 009.

The Augmented Motion Scanner is a definite upgrade for your Odradek, allowing enemy outlines to linger for a longer period of time after scanning them. Players who like to use stealth when infliltrating MULE camps will find this skill particularly useful.

Simple Noise Canceller

Simple Noise Canceller Skill Type: Stealth
Memory Cost: 60 Memory
How to Unlock: Complete Order No. 009.

The Simple Noise Canceller is a no-brainer to get if you like stealthing your way through MULE camps and BT zones since it eliminates the sound of your footsteps. Naturally, you'll still want to offload cargo before you attempt stealth sequences but this is a definite plus if you want to make infiltrations speedier.

Timefall Generator

Timefall Generator Skill Type: Servicemanship
Memory Cost: 40 Memory
How to Unlock: Reach Level 30 Servicemanship.

The Timefall Generator is a really great upgrade since it helps manage your Skeleton battery usage by charging your battery during Timefall storms. Pair it with the Solar Generator backpack attachment and you have two options for recharging your battery on the fly. This is the perfect upgrade for players who like using the boosted sprint of Skeletons.

Faster Order Preparation

Faster Order Preparation Skill Type: Servicemanship
Memory Cost: 80 Memory
How to Unlock: Reach Level 40 Servicemanship.

For players gunning to get 5★ connection levels with all facilities, this skill is one of the best ways to fast track it. Get Faster Order Preparation so standard orders respawn faster. More orders means more opportunities to raise your connection levels.

Strand Contract Cap Boost

Strand Contract Cap Boost Skill Type: Bridge Link
Memory Cost: 20 Memory
How to Unlock:
・Complete Order No. 009.
・Reach Level 35 Bridge Link.

The Strand Contract Cap Boost is a really great addition you can get since it basically increases how many items and buildings get shared to you from other players' worlds. Increase this in the name of jolly cooperation to gain access to useful structures built by other players.

Note: There are multiple copies of this skill and each one will have a different unlock condition.

Raise Your Porter Grade

Porter Grade

The only way to unlock APAS Enhancements (skills) is to raise your Porter Grade. Each of the different skills will be tied to a Porter Grade "tree" that you'll have to level up to get access to better skills.
