Blood Grenade Against Bats

Bats are another type of chiral creature, similar to the spiders. The most effective way to kill bats is to use Blood Grenades or EX Grenades against them.

Shooting them will only waste your ammo. Even the Heavy Machine Gun attached to the Pickup Off-roader will not auto-shoot at them, as they are Chiral Creatures and not BTs.

Using MP grenades, the underbarrel launcher, or the grenade pistol, will also work, but at the risk of damaging your cargo and Sam's health.

Aim Grenade at Ground

Since they fly exceptionally fast, grenades won't hit them directly. The only reliable method to damage these bats is to throw a grenade onto the ground at your feet when in the center of a swarm.

If the bats are close to a cliff, aim your grenade at the cliff face. The resulting smoke will spread, causing damage and slowly eliminating them.

Avoid As Much as Possible

The best strategy is to avoid them whenever possible, unless your current task requires entering their area. Consider taking a different route, or if you're in a Tri-Cruiser, simply drive past them with a boost.

However, be aware that bigger vehicles cannot outrun them. Bats only patrol a certain range, so once you get past that territory, they will not give chase.
