This is a guide on how to dodge in Death Stranding 2 On the Beach (DS2). Learn how to dodge and what the dodge controls are while aiming and while in combat.

Dodge Controls

While Aiming
Hold PS5 - L2 Button + PS5 - X Button
When in Combat
Hold PS5 - L2 Button + Hold PS5 - R2 Button + PS5 - X Button

To dodge, hold either the left or right trigger (depending on situation) then press X. You can hold L2 then press X while stationary to dodge left and you can hold R2 while stationary or in combat to dodge right. Holding both L2 and R2 at once then pressing X will make you dodge backward. However you can also direct Sam where to dodge using the L stick.

Dodging consumes Endurance, which can be viewed through the gauge located above the Stamina Bar. To replenish your Endurance, just have Sam stand still.
