Death Stranding 2 How to Use Photo Mode

Press the left side of the Touchpad on the DualSense to access Photo Mode in Death Stranding 2 On the Beach. Learn how to use Photo Mode and how to edit and take pictures in this guide!

How to Use Photo Mode

Press the Left Side of the Touchpad

Photo Mode Pose

Similar to the original game, you can enter Photo Mode in Death Stranding 2 On the Beach by pressing the left side of the Touchpad on the DualSense controller. This pauses the game and opens the Photo Mode settings.

Edit and Snap Photos

Photo Mode

Editing Option Effect
Game Allows you to show or hide game UI, notifications, and player signs.
Camera This tab allows you to adjust settings such as focus, depth of field, and aperture, similar to those found in a real camera.
Brightnes/Filter Change exposure, contrast, and apply color filters and noise to the photo.
Lens Effect Toggles vignette, lens distortion, and chromatic aberration application.
Sam, Lou and Dollman These tabs allow you to assign different character poses for the three of them, including facial expressions.
Frame Provides a selection of frames and logos to add to your photo.
Light Lets you apply and adjust light source and lighting effects.

While in Photo Mode, you can adjust elements like the camera angle and choose whether to include the Death Stranding 2 logo. When you're ready, press the Square button to hide the Menu, then press the X button on the DualSense to take the shot.

Social Strand Service Photos Tab

The photos you take with Photo Mode can be found in-game through the Ring Terminal in the Social Strand Service's Photos Tab. They can also be viewed in the SSS Home tab as a post by Sam. You can also access these screenshots on your PS5 Media Library.
