Animal capture and transport is unlocked after completing Order No. 015 in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Learn exactly how to successfully capture and transport animals in this guide!

How to Unlock Animal Transport

Play Through Order No. 015

Order 015

Order No. 015 tasks you with capturing a Kangaroo then delivering it to the Animal Shelter. After this mission, you will be able to catch animals you see in the wild, then deliver them to the Animal Shelter.

How to Capture and Transport Animals

Follow these steps to successfully capture and transport animals:

  1. Use Odradek to Locate Animals
  2. Crouch and Sneak Toward Animal
  3. Place Animal in Animal Carrier
  4. Carry Them Back to the Animal Shelter

Use Odradek to Locate Animals

Use Odradek Scanner to Locate Animals
Scan with your Odradek using L1 to locate the various animals across Australia. Doing so will highlight any animal in the vicinity, allowing you to easily find and track them.

Crouch and Sneak Toward Animal

Sneak Crouch
Press R1 to crouch and attempt to walk stealthily toward the animal, making sure it's facing away from you. Use various obstacles and tall grass if there are any to remain hidden.

Place Animal in Animal Carrier

Place in Animal Carrier

Walk up to the animal then press Square to place them in an animal carrier. There is no need to fabricate an animal carrier, as it isn't an item.

Carry Them Back to the Animal Shelter

Animal Shelter Location

Once you've picked up the animal in the animal carrier, carry them all the way back to the Animal Shelter, which is a little northeast of Rainy's Shelter and Rainbow Valley.

Note that you cannot use the DHV Magellan to transport animals, so you'll need to return them the old fashioned way.
