Rainy, a new character introduced in Death Stranding 2, is played by Shioli Kutsuna. She is known for her role as Ran Mori in the live action adaptation of Detective Conan: Shinichi Kudo's Written Challenge! (2011), as well as her recurring appearance as Yukio in Deadpool 2 (2018) and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).

Rainy and a Bridge Baby

Little is known about Rainy as a character. The only info available so far is that she is a member of Drawbridge - a new civilian group headed by Fragile in Death Stranding 2 that aims to connect the rest of the world to the existing chiral network of the UCA.

In the preview footage of the game during the Game Premiere at the Orpheum Theater (2025), we see Rainy introduced alongside Tomorrow (Elle Fanning) aboard the mobile base of Drawbridge - the DHV Magellan. In the sequence, she is shown to be pregnant and, later on in the Pre-Order trailer, we see her holding a Bridge Baby (BB).
