Who is the New BB Sam Carries?

There is no BB in the Pod

New BB

Following the attack on his shelter, due to his grief, Sam hallucinated that Lou turned into a BT and entered a pod.

At first, he believes Lou is just asleep, so she does not respond. Later, Sam interacts with the pod, and players will sometimes even have to soothe the BB inside. However, the pod is actually empty.

Does Lou Die?

Evidences that the Pod is Empty

This is hinted at during the scene at the DHV Magellan when Sam first meets Dollman, who was about to point out that the pod is empty, but Fragile stops him, allowing Sam to continue to cling to his delusion.

Another clue is revealed when you observe Sam's reflection at the Plate Gate during the scene before he passes through it. Upon closer inspection, you will clearly see that the BB pod is cracked and empty.
