Fragile is brought to life by Léa Seydoux, who provides the character's model, as well as her motion capture and acting performance. Seydoux reprises her role as Fragile in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Léa Seydoux is widely recognized for her breakout role as Emma in Blue Is the Warmest Color. She further rose to international stardom playing Madeleine Swann in the James Bond films Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021). She has also appeared as Lady Margot Fenring in Dune: Part Two (2024).

In Death Stranding, Fragile was the executive of the Fragile Express delivery company. Like Sam Porter Bridges, she was born with DOOMS, granting her the unique abilities to both see Beached Things (BTs) and teleport throughout the world.

In the events of the first game, she becomes a crucial ally to Sam, offering her support as he journeys westward to reconnect humanity in post-apocalyptic America.
