List of Contents

People who have DOOMS have a strong connection to the Beach and the dead, which allows them to be more sensitive to the presence of BTs.
This condition also makes them experience apocalyptic nightmares that can affect their mental health. Higher levels of DOOMS result in a stronger connection to the Beach. This often means high level DOOMS sufferers can see BTs without the help of Bridge Babies.

DOOMS is a condition that grants abnormal powers to its suffererers. Not everyone has DOOMS, but the nature of DOOMS that affect a person and the ability they develop, varies.
For example, Sam has the ability to sense BTs but is unable to see them without connecting to a BB (Bridge Baby). Fragile, with her higher DOOMS level, has the ability to see BTs and teleport throughout the world.
According to in-game lore, those born under the constellations Cancer, Pisces, Cetus, Delphinus, and Gigas are observed to have higher levels of DOOMS abilities.

DOOMS is also known to cause chiral rash to its sufferers. Chiral rash is a condition wherein a sufferer develops goosebump-like skin marks resembling hand prints when they come into contact with BTs (Beached Things) and chiralium, substances connected to the realm of the dead.
The handprints from chiral rash look similar to the prints that BTs leave on the ground when they move. This marks can be seen on Sam when he takes a shower.

| Higgs | Can spawn BTs and control them. He can also create any object out of chiralium, control timefall, levitate, and teleport. |
| Tarman | Not yet specified, but according to Fragile, he also has DOOMS. |
