MP Bullets or Multi-Purpose Bullets allow players to deal with humans, BTs, and mechs without having to switch ammo types in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (DS2). Read on to learn more about MP Bullets and how to unlock their anti-BT function during your playthrough.

Unlike the first game, most guns in Death Stranding 2 will come equipped with Multi-Purpose Bullets. This means they have a variety of uses, all without the need to switch ammo types in order to deal with the different enemies you encounter in the game.
Guns with the MP tag (like the Assault Rifle [MP] or the Machine Gun [MP]) will use Multi-Purpose bullets, allowing them to incapacitate humans (anti-human), damage vehicles and robots (anti-mech), or kill BTs (anti-BT).

When you first start the game, guns with the MP tag will only be flagged as Anti-Human and Anti-Mech. However, once you deliver the Prototype MP Bullets to the Former Geophysics Research Lab during Order No. 005, you'll unlock the full functionality of MP weapons by giving them the Anti-BT property as well.
During the order immediately after (006), you'll get to test your guns' new Anti-BT capabilities by battling a large BT attacking the research lab.

The Prototype MP Bullets you deliver during Order No. 005 cannot be used since they are considered a package. During this mission's required objective of killing BTs, you'll need to use the Blood Grenades provided by the C1 South Distribution Center to deal with the Watcher BTs.

MP Bullets in Death Stranding 2 are considered non-lethal when used against human enemies. Any human enemies (like Bandits) taken out by MP bullets will display the KO icon above their bodies when they go down.
This makes guns that use MP Bullets more versatile since you won't have to swap ammo types just to combat different enemies. Simply shoot at them and the MP bullets will do the rest of the work.

Despite the introduction of MP bullets, you will still find guns with the RB tag indicating that it fires Rubber Bullets (often dropped by human enemies). However, you're better off sticking to MP guns if you don't want to lug around multiple weapons during your delivery runs.
