Civ 7 is Coming to VR
Civilization VII is coming to VR this Spring 2025! With it, players can enjoy the classic turn-based strategy game from a new, immersive perspective.
The game unfolds atop a Command Table, letting you view the map from above or zoom in to appreciate the finer details of buildings and units—just like a living tabletop game!
Upcoming DLCs
The official content roadmap for Civilization VII has unveiled the first two DLC packs, known in-game as Collections. These thematic expansions introduce new leaders, civilizations, wonders, and cosmetic items to enhance your gameplay experience.
The first Collection, Crossroads of the World, will launch in two parts this March. This expansion brings Bulgaria and Nepal into the Civilization franchise for the first time, adding fresh strategic possibilities.
Following that, the next Collection, Right to Rule, has been teased but not fully detailed. However, early hints suggest it will feature two new leaders, four new civilizations, and four world wonders.
Roadmap
Civilization VII will receive regular updates, introducing new mechanics, natural wonders, and challenges to keep the gameplay fresh.
In a recent Dev Diary, the developers teased several high-priority updates, including 8-player multiplayer, additional map types, and the ability to customize the game's starting and ending Age.
Additionally, the team plans to launch month-long events that all players can participate in, similar to Civilization VI’s timed challenges in 2024. These events will offer unique gameplay opportunities, rewarding strategy and engagement with exclusive content.
Twitch Drops
Civilization VII is currently running an exclusive Twitch Drops campaign, allowing players to unlock a variety of unique in-game cosmetics.
By watching participating Twitch streams for a set duration, you can earn exclusive rewards to personalize your gameplay experience. Don’t miss out on this limited-time event - tune in, claim your drops, and showcase your style in Civilization VII!

Cross-Save and Cross-Progression
The official Civ 7 FAQ has confirmed that the game will support cross-progression, allowing players to enjoy the game on any platform while also keeping their progress.
Players simply need to link their game to a 2K account and log in the same account on a different device they want to continue playing on to access their save.
