Where to Spend Gold

Buying and Maintaining Units

Units can be purchased to bypass the turn wait for them, especially when you need them urgently during a war. Simply purchase them in the Purchase tab and deploy them.

Purchasing Units can be done on both Cities and Towns so if you're in need of soldiers, don't hesistate to buy them.

Constructing Buildings

Civ 7 - Buy Buildings
Buildings are an essential part of Civ 7, as they provide the bulk of your stats for your population to grow. They provide Food, Production, Culture, Gold, Science and Influence to aid you in your campaign.

LIke Units, Buildings can normally be built without cost overtime but if you need a Building constructed instantly, you can buy them at a price.

Civ 7 - Repair Buildings

In an event of a natural disaster or a siege, players can repair their affected buildings at a gold cost as well. In the case of a siege, players will have to take back the stolen land from their opponent first.

How to Gain Gold

Build Economic Buildings

Civ 7 - Buildings with Gold

Buildings that produce Gold will help increase your Gold production every turn. Having multiple Gold Buildings will increase your Gold production per Turn.

Advance Economic Leader Attributes

Civ 7 - Leader Attributes

Leader Attributes will help in your overall campaign by providing benefits after completing Legacy Paths.

Going through the Economic Legacy will earn your Economic Leader Attributes, further buffing your Gold production in the long run.

Wildcard Attributes can be used to increase you Economic Leader Attributes as well.

Choose Economically Strong Civs

Civ 7 - Mughal Benefits

There are certain Civs that provide a huge gain on Gold by choosing them, such as the Mughal Empire. Choosing these Civs will provide you the best Gold during their Age.

Choose Economic Mementos

Civ 7 - Mementos Benefits

If you decide on a Civ that does not prioritize Economics, choosing Economic Mementos will provide some buffs for Gold production when choosing them. Decide wisely when choosing these Mementos before hopping into your campaign!
