Warehouses in Civilization VII (Civ 7) are Ageless buildings that provide a flat yield bonus to Improvements. Learn how to use these buildings and their bonuses by reading our guide below!
List of Contents

When you grow your town, you can create an Improvement based on its terrain. When you build a Warehouse for that improvement, it will gain an increase in yield.
They are unlocked by progressing the Technology Tree. You can only have one of each Warehouse per settlement.

These buildings are Ageless, which means that they will still be in your settlements after an Age change. You can still create these buildings in the next Ages as well.
This means that Warehouses are crucial to maximizing growth in all your settlements. Use gold to build them in new towns to jumpstart their growth.
If you start a game in the Exploration Age or Modern Age, your city and towns will start with warehouses.
Each warehouse adds a yield to a certain Improvement. The Improvements you can make are dependent on the tiles your settlements reside in.
Saw Pits are best in Vegeted tiles. Brickyards are great in Rough Terrain and if you have resources like Salt and Marble. Fishing Quays are a must in settlements near a coast, river, or lake.

If you replace a Warehouse by building another building on top of an Urban District, you will lose the warehouse bonus. However, there are some civs that have unique buildings that let them keep the warehouse bonuses on the tile after they have been built.
The best strategy with these buildings is to stack two Warehouses in one district then create it on that tile. You will have its buffs and the warehouse bonuses for the entire game.
