During the Exploration Age, to unlock Religion, research the Piety Civic and build a Temple.
Once your Temple is up and running, your Religion is officially born! You can pick from classic religions or go wild and create your own — complete with a custom name, icon, and Beliefs that reflect your civilization’s soul.
Any settlement with a Temple can now produce Missionaries.
During the Exploration Age, Religion is pivotal — not only for spreading your faith but also for securing Relics to complete Culture Legacy Path.
You can also customize your Religion's Beliefs, which shape how you gather Relics, provide bonuses when you convert other settlements to your faith, and help spread your Religion across the world.
