Ada Lovelace (Upcoming) | Simon Bolivar (Upcoming) |
The eighth Dev Diary posted in the official Civilization website reveals 2 new Leaders for the upcoming Crossroads of the World DLC pack.
Ada Lovelace will be released on Early March while Simon Bolivar will be released on Late March.
Civilization VII includes 21 unique leaders to choose from. Five of these leaders have 2 personas, which brings the total number to 26.
In previous Civilization games, choosing a Leader meant you will play as the civilization that they are associated with. For example, if you choose Julius Caesar as your leader, your civilization will be Rome.
Civilization VII changes this so it is now possible to mix and match leaders with different civs. Note that the game still highlights a choice to pair a leader with a historical, geographical, or strategic civ when starting a new game. This makes it possible to try to play the game as historically accurate as possible.
List of All Civs (Civilizations)
All leaders have an upgradable attribute tree called Leader Attributes. This is divided into six categories: Cultural, Diplomatic, Economic, Expansionist, Militaristic, and Scientific.
You can upgrade these using attribute points that you can acquire from building wonders, achieving milestones, and fulfilling quest objectives.
Leaders have an affinitiy for one or two of the attribute trees but you can choose to spend points on any tree.
