These repairs only take 1 turn or around 36-50 Gold to do so don't pass up on these when prompted!

Natural Disasters happen around Towns and Cities with a nearby natural structure such as a river, or a volcano. Typhoons and dust storms can also happen which will also incur damages to your buildings.
When there is a war ongoing, it is possible for your opponent to siege and take control of your towns while you aren't aware of it. You may repair any damaged buildings after defeating the invaders off your town.
Also possible during a war is a riot amongst civilians in a recently seized Town and City, making it disorganized and unable to take action with. After riots and revolts calm down, you may repair potentially destroyed buildings in your Town or City.
PIllaging rural tiles while raiding a village is also a way to damage buildings of a Town. After seizing the Town or City, make sure to repair the buildings to get them back to work!
