Civ 7 is coming to VR this Spring 2025! With it, players can enjoy the classic turn-based strategy game from a new, immersive perspective.

The game unfolds atop a Command Table, letting you view the map from above or zoom in to appreciate the finer details of buildings and units—just like a living tabletop game!

The game supports both Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR), allowing you to switch between the two freely. In VR mode, you'll find yourself in an ornate museum with a scenic backdrop personalized to your chosen leader. In MR mode, the Command Table blends into your real-world space.

Aside from single player, Civ 7 VR can also accommodate multiplayer mode with up to three Civ 7 VR players.

Where to Play Civ 7 VR?

Meta Quest 3 and 3S Headsets

Civ 7 VR 2

The VR adaptation of Civilization VII will be exclusively playable on Meta Quest 3 and 3S headsets. While there's no exact release date yet, the game is confirmed to launch in Spring 2025.
