The best map seeds in Civilization VII (Civ 7) lets you start near Natural Wonders and advantageous tiles. Use our guide to learn some best map seeds, what map seeds are and how to use them!

This map seed will spawn your Founder just a few tiles south of the Zhangjiajie.
Not only does it give a +4 production and +2 happiness for each of its tile, but it gives a +2 culture on rough terrain in its connected settlement.

This seed places the Founder right next to the Redwood Forests. This is crucial for Isabella, because she doubles the yield on Natural Wonder Tiles

This is another map seed perfect for Isabella. The starting point this map is right next to the Great Barrier Reef. It will grant her initial settlement a huge food yield at the start with Isabella's ability.

Each maps in Civ 7 has a series of numbers associated with it. When you launch a game, Civ 7 will produce a set of numbers then create the map based on it.
Map seeds are usually saved to note down great or optimized starting points for your civ. This is particularly true for leaders who need specific tiles—like Natural Wonders tiles for Isabella—to maximize their abilities.

When you use another map seed, you can customize other game settings like game speed or difficulty. However, you cannot adjust map type and map size. These are already set by the map seed.

Before you launch a game, scroll down and click Advanced Options. Set the map seed on Map Random Seed to load the exact map.
Then, to get the exact positioning in the seed, add one number to the map seed and type it in the Game Random Seed text box.
