Crossplay is Available in Civ 7

Cross-play Fully Supported

Players can play Civilization 7 cross-play across all available platforms as long as they have their game copy linked to their 2K Account. Cross-play requires an internet connection for online play and progression features.

Restricted Number of Players per Platform

Depending on the platform, the number of players supported per game changes.

  • PC, Xbox, and PlayStation: Up to five players supported in the Antiquity & Exploration Age, and up to eight players in the Modern Age.
  • Nintendo Switch: Up to four players supported in the Antiquity & Exploration Age, and up to six players in the Modern Age.

Map Size Restrictions for Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch version of the game is not expected to support map sizes of Standard and above which will also restrict cross-play multiplayer games with Nintendo Switch players.
