Unfortunately, preload isn't available for PC or Steam players. Civ 7 on PC or Steam only becomes available for download once it's been released on the platform.
Players who have purchased the game on consoles can now preload the game! Be sure to have it ready before release so you can play it right away.
Those who pre-purchase the Digital Deluxe and Founders Editions will be able to play the game in early access on February 6th, 2025. Early access for the physical copies of the Deluxe Edition is only available on select stores.

Preloading Civ 7 means you’ll be ready to start building and expanding your empire as soon as the game releases. Having the game ready on release means you'll spend less time in waiting and more time playing!
