To complete this quest, you'll first need to unlock the Secret Area for Chapter 4, the Purple Cloud Mountain. To do this, you need to defeat the Venom Daoist in both the Webbed Hollow and Temple of Yellow Flowers.

Find the Snake Wrapped Around a Tree

After arriving on Purple Cloud Mountain, just follow the path forward until you see a big snake wrapped around a tree stump. She will talk to you and warn you about venomous Yaoguais. Continue forward until you reach the Petalfall Hamlet.

Look for Daoist Mi Near Petalfall Hamlet

Continue onwards until you reach the Petalfall Hamlet shrine. You can find Daoist Mi nearby by following the path that leads to a bridge. Talk to Daoist Mi and he will ask you to defeat his fellow disciples and look for eggs for a cure.

Obtain Violet Hail from Enemies in the Village

The eggs that Daoist Mi has asked you to look for is the key item called “Violet Hail”. This item drops from the enemies you can find in the village nearby. This is a random drop so you can rest at the shrines to respawn the enemies until you get the item.

Defeat Daoist Mi in a Fight

When you deliver the item back to Daoist Mi, he will get hostile and start a fight. You will have to beat him to complete the quest, the boss fight will have two phases so prepare yourself.
