Monk From The Sea is one of the optional Yaoguai Chief boss enemies found in the New Thunderclap Temple where the Hoarfrost transformation spell can be obtained in Black Myth: Wukong. Monk From The Sea Can Be Found in New Thunderclap Temple, Temple Entrance
The Monk from the Sea can be found in New Thunderclap Temple, Temple Entrance. Starting from the shrine there, head inside the temple and follow the left path, which leads to an upper ground. Once on the upper ground, head towards the middle of the structure there where you'll see monks praying, then just head straight to the large archway.
Upon exiting the large archway, head towards the object that's near a tree with no leaves on it. The Monk from the Sea will emerge from the object and the fight will start.

Get Aggressive at the Start
As soon as the fight starts, use Pluck of Many, Immobilize, and the Withering Wight spirit attack on the Monk from the Sea to quickly bring its HP down. You can also add in Cloud Step for extra damage.
Watch Out for Its Frost Attacks
A lot of the Monk from the Sea's attacks can apply Chill and freeze you, which is the boss' most notable feature. These attacks also happen quickly and don't have any cues to watch out, so it's best to dodge the attacks as much as possible.
Move Away When It's Charging
The Monk from the Sea has an attack where it lifts itself up using its tentacles, charges for a while, then unleashes a wave of frost around itself. Once you see it charging up, it's best to just move away from it and wait for the attack to finish to avoid getting hit.
Stun It With Heavy Attacks
You can keep stunning the Monk from the Sea using heavy attacks. This also deals high damage to the boss.
