Summon Him From the Valley Cliff

If you defeated the King of Flowing Sands and the Second Prince of Flowing Sands together from the previous boss fight, you’ll receive a Pungent Flesh Chunk key item.

You can use this item to summon the First Prince of Flowing Sands by interacting with the cliff near the Valley of Despair Keeper Shrine.

How to Beat Second Prince of Flowing Sands

Summoned by the King in the Valley of Despair

Alternatively, if you’ve only defeated the Second Prince of Flowing Sands in the previous battle and the King has escaped, head south from the Valley of Despair Keeper Shrine to find a small cave. Here, the King of Flowing Sands will summon the First Prince of Flowing Sands.

You won't have to fight the King again, as the First Prince will eliminate him upon being summoned.

Have Him Ram Against the Wall Attack In Between His Attacks Utilize Cloud Step to Get Out of A Combo

Have Him Ram Against the Wall

Inside the cave, you'll find a large wall that can be broken by the First Prince of Flowing Sands' attacks. Let him ram into the wall to crack it open, revealing a secret passage.

After the battle, you can slip into this crevice to find the Loong Scales key item, which will allow you to challenge Red Loong and its variants.

How to Beat Red Loong

Attack Between His Strikes

The First Prince’s attacks are powerful but slow, making them easy to dodge. Use the openings between his attacks to land your own hits.

However, stay alert for his occasional swift swipe attacks, which are much faster.

Utilize Cloud Step to Get Out of A Combo

Given the First Prince’s unpredictable moves and the confined space of the cave, it’s easy to get cornered.

Use the Cloud Step spell to quickly escape and regain your positioning, ensuring you have the space to continue the fight.
