How to Beat Keeper of Flaming Mountains

Keeper of Flaming Mountains Strategy

Watch Out for Its Projectiles

The Keeper of Flaming Mountains' attacks mainly consists of shooting projectiles rather than melee attacks. These projectiles also hone in towards you, so even if you dodged them initially, they can come from another direction.

With this in mind, it's best to keep an eye on the boss' projectiles and be prepared to dodge them.

Defeat the Archers First

Some time during the fight, the Keeper of Flaming Mountains will summon lesser yaoguais to fight you while it stays safely up in the air.

Focus on defeating the archers first before the melee enemies since their attacks can be annoying to deal with when fightning the melee ones. Moreover, the archers are quick and easy to defeat compared to the melee ones, so it doesn't take that much time to deal with them.

Keep Using Heavy Attacks

The Keeper of Flaming Mountains is quite frail compared to other bosses. Keep hitting it with heavy attacks to quickly deplete its HP.

How to Beat Yin-Yang Fish

Yin-Yang Fish Strategy

Watch Out for an Attack When Hitting Its Tail

When attacking the Yin-Yang Fish's tail, it will retaliate by slapping you hard with its tail. When it does this attack, it first tilts its head towards you, then quickly slaps you with its tail.

WIth this in mind, when you're attacking its tail, be ready to dodge or move away quickly once you see it tilt its head as the actual attack is very fast.

Run Around When It Shoots Projectiles

The Yin-Yang Fish's most notable attack is when it flys up in the air, then shoots a barrage of projectiles at you. Although the damage of each projectile isn't a lot, if you get hit by one of the projectiles, you'll certainly get hit by the rest, and the combined damage of all projectiles is devastating.

The best thing to do to avoid this attack is to run and roll around until all projectiles are gone.

Attack It When It's Howling

The Yin-Yang Fish will occasionally howl for about 7 seconds, giving you an opening to attack freely. Once you see the boss howl, take advantage of the time window to deal as much damage as possible before it stops howling.
