How to Respec Abilities and Spells

You can respec abilities and spells at Shrines through the Reignite the Sparks option in Black Myth: Wukong to reclaim used Sparks. Read on for more information on how to respec abilities and spells, its cost, and how to reallocate your Sparks to upgrade other skills.

How to Respec Abilities and Spells

Go to a Shrine

To respec your character and reclaim the Sparks you've used, you need to go to a Shrine. Offer incense, and select the Self-Advance option. Select Reignite the Sparks to be taken to the respec menu.

Reclaim All Sparks or Individual Sparks

You have the option to either reclaim all the Sparks you've used, reclaim all Sparks for a specific category, or open a category and reclaim individual Sparks from any unlocked skill.

No Cost to Respec

Don't hesitate to use your Sparks as soon as you get them because you can easily take them back! There is no cost to respec your build. Sparks can freely be put into abilities and spells and taken back again with no catch.

The free cost and the ease of reclaiming Sparks makes it very easy to respec and move around your Sparks to wherever you need for your next battle.

Must Have Used Sparks for Self-Advance to Appear at Shrines

Don't worry if you don't see Self-Advance when visiting a Keeper's Shrine. If you have not used any of your Sparks yet, the Self-Advance option will not appear in the Shrine menu.

Once you invest a Spark in an ability or spell, you should be able to go to a Shrine and see the option to take it back from here on out.

How to Upgrade Abilities and Spells

Self-Advance from the Game Menu

To upgrade your abilities and spells, you need to go to the main menu of the game. Go to the Self-Advance tab, then choose which area and skill you want to use a Spark on.

This works like a Skill Tree in which you need to unlock the base skills first before you can use your Sparks for more advanced skills.

Spells Are Obtained By Progressing the Game

You can get spells by going through the game, defeating bosses, and progressing the story. Once you've obtained a spell, you can then upgrade it through the Self-Advance tab on your menu.
