Abilities
Abilities consist of your weapon skills and passives. Majority of the time, these skills trees are what will help you the most when fighting enemies since skills will go on a long cooldown everytime you use them.
Foundation Skills
Foundation Skills are skills that augment your attacks and passives that increase and affect Wukong's stats. These generally affect your most basic moveset, like dodging and light attacks, as well as base stats, like HP, Stamina, Defense, etc.
Staff Stances
Thisskill tree covers Wukong's staff stances which include the Smash Stance, Pillar Stance, Thrust Stance, as well as stance-related passives that boost your Focus and damage.
Each stance provides a unique fighting style with different combos, ranging from the Pillar Stance's more defense oriented play style to the Thrust Stance's focus on evasion and counters.
Spells
Wukong's spells are divided into four categories: Mysticism, Alteration, Strand, and Transformation spells. Unlike Abilities, you'll use spells more sparingly, but they have incredible powerful effects when used.

Each of these spell categories have their own unique properites that help the Destined One in battle. Mysticism is used to enchant either you or the enemy, Alteration helps either evade or block attacks, while Strand uses on of your hair strands for a very power effect!
As a note, Life-Saving Strand is only unlocked when starting New Game+, and you'll only have access to A Pluck of Many in the mean time.
Transformations
Tranformations allow you to change form and become the boss you got the transformation from. This is one of the most powerful tools in your kit since you get a separate health bar while transformed, new powerful attacks exclusive to that form, and it doesn't cost mana!
How to Unlock New Skills and Spells
Allocate Sparks in the Skill Tree
As you level up and obtain Sparks, you can unlock and allocate skills within the skill tree. Defeating enemies and interacting with Meditation Spots grants you the Sparks needed to improve your stats and abilities.
Progress Through the Story
Many of the Spells in the game are unlocked by progressing through the game and reaching certain plot points. These are normally given by NPCs to help you on your journey.
All Chapter Walkthrough Guides
No New Abilities are Added
It should be noted, however, that there are no new abilities that can be unlocked in the game. Whatever you see in the Foundation and Staff Stances skill trees is all that you will get.
Defeat Bosses to Unlock Their Transformation
New Transformations Spells are unlocked after beating certain bosses. Most of these bosses are optional, with the exception of one story boss that you get after Chapter 3, so make sure that you're exploring every inch of the world for every boss you can fight!
How to Reset and Respec Skill Tree
Reignite the Sparks to Respec Skills
You can respec your skills any time by accessing a Shrine, selecting Self-Advance, and selecting the Reignite the Sparks option. This allows you to reset selected skills from individual skill trees, or even all of your skills at the same time!
