Cicada

Early in the game, you'll transform into a Cicada as part of the story, allowing you to sneak past enemies undetected and set up surprise attacks.

The Cicada form however, does not work on bosses.

You Don't Keep the Cicada Spell in the Beginning

The Cicada transformation is available only briefly in the early parts of the game.

Once you de-transform, you won't retain it, but you'll acquire this spell again later in the game.

Red Tides

The Red Tides transformation turns you into a fiery, twinblade-wielding wolf guai that inflicts Scorch Bane with every attack.

Red Tides Spells

Type Spell Description
Light Attack Light Attack: Moon Dance Continuously slash at the enemy with spiraling blades ablaze, flames dancing across the sky like a full moon, building up Focus.
Heavy Attack Heavy Attack: Moon Chase Unleash a series of dash attacks. When at full Focus, Dodging in any direction and following it with a Heavy Attack performs a powerful new move.
Full Focus Attack Dodge + Heavy Attack Build up full focus to execute a powerful attack. To perform this move, dodge and execute a heavy attack.

Get Red Tides by Defeating Guangzhi

Guangzhi is a Chief Yaoguai boss you encounter early on in the game. Defeating him will grant you the ability to transform and the Red Tides Spell.

Azure Dust

The Azure Dust transformation turns you into a rock guai that can withstand all four banes.

Additionally, this transformation also proves useful when surrounded by enemies as it specializes in Area of Damage attacks.

Azure Dust Spells

Type Spell Description
Light Attack Light Attack: Earth Shatter Strike the enemy three times with your heavy head, each blow more painful than the last.
Heavy Attack Heavy Attack: Mountain Splitter Dash forward with full force. Fully charge to dash further, ramming all enemies in your path.
Full Focus Attack Spell: Rockfall Build up full Focus to unleash this spell. Leap high and smash into the ground, causing a large Area of Damage with a shockwave of earth and stone.

Get Azure Dust by Completing the Man-in-Stone Questline

In Chapter 2, you’ll encounter a man trapped in stone in Fright Valley asking you to defeat the Mother of Stones for an item she's carrying.

Defeat the Mother of Stones and bring the item back to the Man-in-Stone and engage him in a fight to receive the Azure Dust spell!

Acquire the ability to transform by defeating Guangzhi in Forest of Wolves, Outside the Forest in Chapter 1.

Defeating him will grant you the ability to transform as well as the Red Tides Transformation Spell.

Transformation spells are acquired by defeating bosses, completing side quests, or finding them in the overworld.

The more spells you collect, the more beings you can transform into.

Click on the Transform Button

Black Myth: Wukong - Transform Button

The Transform button is initially found at the right of your spell set, which is found at the bottom right of the screen.

However, you can opt to change this whenever you want as you get more spells.
