Daniel Wu, Hero Games' founder and shareholder for Game Science, the team behind Black Myth: Wukong, has shared in an interview with Bloomberg that an expansion for the game is already in the works.

Wu has not shared any specific information or an estimated release date about this upcoming expansion.

Expansion May Continue Protagonist's Story

We are speculating that the expansion will continue the Destined One's story, which may bring up more references to the original Journey to the West story, which the game is based on.

Furthermore, the title of the game's final chapter, Unfinished, suggests that there are more stories to tell.

The expansion may also add any cut content that was removed from the original release, similar to what FromSoftware did with Shadow of the Erdtree, the expansion for Elden Ring.
