As of August 24, 2 AM UTC, there are currently over 800,000 active players of Black Myth: Wukong on Steam, according to SteamDB. The player count drops greatly at around 10 PM UTC and steadily rise throughout the day until the highest numbers are reached at around 2 PM UTC.

It's worth noting that the game is also available on PS5. Though we currently don't have the numbers for the PS5 player base, we can expect a good number of players on that platform as well.

Black Myth: Wukong has an all-time peak of 2.4 million players achieved on August 22, at around 2 PM UTC. This remains the second highest all-time peak record on Steam, right behind PUBG: Battlegrounds's 3.25 million and above Palworld's 2.1 million. If even more players start playing the game, Black Myth: Wukong has a good chance of beating this record.

Highest 24 Hour Peak

Black Myth: Wukong broke the record for the highest 24-hour peak on Steam with 2.2 million players within just 12 hours of the game's release. This allowed Black Myth: Wukong to knock down Counter-Strike 2 from the top spot.

It maintains this lead as it breaks its own record at 2.4 million players within a 24-hour period during its third day.
