Mad Tiger Strategy |
---|
|
One of the Mad Tiger's attacks is grabbing you and slamming you to the ground, then throwing you away. This attack deals tons of damage and can quickly deplete your HP or even just kill you instantly, so be ready to dodge it.
The Mad Tiger will perform this attack by leaping towards you first, then charging up its left arm to knock you up. When you get hit by the knock up, you can't escape anymore, so watch out for this attack animation.
The Mad Tiger will occasionally let out a loud roar, causing rocks from above to fall down. Once you see he's about to roar, it's best to move away from the boss, since you will get stunned and get hit by the falling rocks if you're near it.
Jump Attacks |
---|
Rock Slam: The Mad Tiger will take a huge chunk of rock, leap towards you, then slam the rock to the ground. This attack deals area damage. |
Earth Smash: The Mad Tiger will leap towards you, then smash the ground with its fists. This attack deals area damage. |
Double Smash: The Mad Tiger will leap towards you, then smash the ground with one fist. It does this twice but after finishing the second attack, its fist will get stuck in the ground for a while. |
The Mad Tiger has a jump attacks that deal heavy damage but are easy to dodge. Whenever the Mad Tiger finishes these jump attacks, it will be vulnerable for a short time.
With this in mind, make sure to dodge its jump attacks, then utilize the time window when it becomes vulnerable by attacking it. One effective tactic when it becomes vulnerable is to attack it first, then use the Immobilize spell to prolong the time window and do more damage.
The Mad Tiger will occasionally do combos consisting of fast but weaker attacks and ending with a heavy attack. Once you see it doing the combos, you can parry and interrupt its combo by using a well-timed Rock Solid spell. Successfully parrying its attacks knocks it back and stuns it for a while, opening a time window where it becomes vulnerable.
Try to time Rock Solid perfectly to leave the Mad Tiger stunned, then use this time window to follow up with attacks or other spells.
You can get the Rock Solid spell by defeating the Tiger Vanguard in the Crouching Tiger Temple.
